Sorry no photo.
Not much stitching going on, real life happens, but the last few days I've tried to start stitching again.
I don't know what it is, but when my mind is racing in a dozen different directions, sitting and stitching calms both my mind and my spirit.

Maybe that's the true reason so many of us stitch.

I'm still on the first and second motif, and in a panic stole the batteries out of the camera to use in the portable cd player while mowing. It seems I don't mind pushing around the mower as long as there is something playing that will distract me.

ReStart of LDS - Spirit of Vierlande

Here's a quick photo of the restarted Long Dog Sampler - Spirit of Vierlande.
Not very impressive so far.

28 count antique white jobelan, but it sure looks white to me.
DMC 777, one over one.
Plan to stitch the larger motifs and border, but replace some of the smaller motifs, skip the top alphabets completely, but work in a random alphabet between the motifs.
Should finish under 10 x 12 inches, but I'm always wrong when I guess.
Started with 11 skeins of floss.

Kindness Sampler Finished

Finished the Kindness Sampler from Birds of a Feather.
Stitched one over one on 28 count China Pearl jobelan, with suggested dmc floss.
Finished size is 2.5 inches square.

Lovely little thing to stitch.
Omitted the text.

Have restarted the LDS in red, but only have a couple of threads in it so far.

Kindness Sampler

Started the Birds of a Feather - Kindness Sampler.
Stitched with suggested DMC colors, one over one, on 28 count china pearl jobelan.
Planning to omit the text.
The stitching needle in the photo gives an idea about size. Should finish at about 3 inches square.

Planning to restart the Long Dog as a red on white. Couldn't find enough of the same 318 dye lot, but there was enough 777 dye lot, and when I got them home, I couldn't tell the differences between the 318 and 777. Odd.

Here's the first 8 meter skein of floss.
I like the pattern, but I'm don't really like the black floss on what is a very light brown fabric.
It just feels like the floss should be a brown or a red.
Feeling wishy-washy about what I've stitched doesn't usually happen to me.
If I'm going to start over, then it seems like now is the time.
And having the photo look like black on a very light gray fabric confuses me even more.

On the upside, the crochet project is done as far at the pattern goes. My plan is to add a couple of extra rows around the edge. A couple of more days on it, and it will be done.

And it was a nice surprise to see that the newest issue of Samplers and Needlework Quarterly was featuring 'Praiseworthy Stitches', and there is a fifth quaker sampler pattern to add to the quaker 'Simple Gifts' series in the magazine. I ordered the magazine, and also a couple of fabrics so I can do the set all on the same fabric.

I'm not sure what to spend time stitching, till I can make up my mind and commit.
There's just seems to be nothing worse than feeling like I'm a wishy washy woman that can't make up her mind. I'm pretty sure I'm wishy washy about everything lately.
I sure hope that this doesn't last long. Too much to do to be wishy washy.
