 ABC's of Aging Artfully - Lizzie Kate.
This is where it was when I picked it back up again. 

This is where it is after working on it for a few days.  This is basically 2/3 of the way across the design.  The upper photo is pretty close to the correct color.  It's on 28 count mushroom lugana.
I don't mind the letters at all - that is the part I like.  But I sure keep thinking it would be nice to change projects.
